We need your help to decrease the number of orders with the wrong order source and being placed under the wrong Provider. In addition, Pharmacy has been seeing a large number of medication orders placed under “Written” order source. They will not process the order unless they are faxed the paper order, as written source does not que for a provider signature in Meditech.
- The Order Source you choose determines if the provider must electronically sign the order. Insurance Companies frequently refuse to pay for tests or procedures if proper signatures aren’t present. This can also be considered practicing outside your scope.
- Who you place orders under (provider) can affect rounding lists.
