To make it easier for our direct care nurses to work where they are most needed has required streamlining the way they are granted access to MEDITECH, one of our electronic health records systems. The IPS Identity & Access team has already worked with four divisions to successfully simplify MEDITECH access for direct care nurses, going from the frustration of dealing with thousands of MEDITECH access templates down to just a handful. It's more efficient, consistent across hospitals, and means managers should rarely need to submit eSAF requests for changes to MEDITECH access. Up next: Extending the streamlining to other divisions, and possibly other positions. |
